Hello! I'm Carolyn. I'm botanist and plant ecologist. I did my PhD at Monash University in Melbourne on the diversity of leaf heteroblasty across seed plants, especially among eucalypts (700+ species).

Core skills:

Advanced: R (especially packages dplyr, ape, caper, raster, magick), R Markdown, ImageJ, data visualisation, Photoshop/GIMP, plant ID, light microscopy, bulk trait measurement from micrographs, plant anatomy and morphology, working in remote areas, planning field and outdoors trips, flora surveys.

Proficient: QGIS, HTML/CSS/Markdown, Illustrator/Inkscape, animal dissection, teaching field and lab botany.

Beginner (10+ hours): SQLite, Python, xylem vulnerability measurement.
